This year, the annual Harris County Public Library Foundation's Booked for Lunch event focuses on expanding the collection of material available to borrow in both printed and digital formats. The Library supports the over 5 million Harris County residents with 27 branches and has over 13 million volumes in its collection. Our goal is to increase the volumes in the collection and reduce borrower wait-times. Please help achieve this goal by supporting the Foundation's luncheon. 

At this year's event we will honor our community partners, The Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation and Ladies for Literacy Guild. For the past decade, the residents of Harris County have benefited from their generous gifts which include underwriting a fleet of state-of-the-art mobile libraries called Curiosity Cruisers and bringing Family Place Libraries to all of our 27 branches, thereby enhancing early childhood literacy.
